Program and Download with a PC or Laptop
The Rainlogger is programmed using Levelogger Software. One Optical Reader with either a USB or RS-232 connection is used to program as many Rainloggers as required.
Direct PC Communication
You can communicate with your Rainlogger using an Optical Reader and laptop in the field.
Leveloader Communication
A Leveloader can be used to program, view and download data in the field using an Optical Connector Cable provided with the Leveloader.
Standard Deployment
The Rainlogger comes with a 3-Pin Connector Cable, 3 m (6.5 ft.) in length, for connection to a Tipping Bucket by splicing to the Tipping Bucket cable. The Connector Cable has blue and brown wires, which are connected to the Tipping Bucket. It does not matter to which terminals of the Tipping Bucket the wires are connected.
Telemetry Option
To integrate the Rainlogger into a Solinst Telemetry System, the 3-Pin Connector Cable connects the Rainlogger to the Tipping Bucket and a short Direct Read Cable connects to the optical end of the Rainlogger. The Direct Read Cable connects to an STS Telemetry Reader Cable, which is attached to a Remote Telemetry Station.
