The 102 Water Level Meter is low cost and designed for use in narrow diameter tubes, as small as 3/8" (10 mm). The stainless steel coaxial cable has a heavy duty polyethylene jacket and markings permanently bonded to the cable every 5 ft or 1 m, and 1 ft or 0.5 m. Narrow diameter probes in 1/4” or 3/8” (6 mm or 10 mm) are available with segmented weights to aid deployment.

When the probe enters water, the water completes an electrical circuit powered by a 9V battery, sending a signal back to the reel where a light and clearly audible buzzer are activated. The water level is then determined by taking a reading off the cable at the top of the borehole, casing or tube, and then measuring off to the nearest mark.
