Model 3001 Leveloader

Leveloader

The Solinst Leveloader is a data-transfer unit designed to download logged data or view last readings from any model of Solinst Levelogger (L, LT, LTC, LTDO). The Leveloader can then transport the data back to the office for transfer to a PC.

The 4-1/8” x 2-3/8” hand held device makes data collection easier than ever, and avoids the need to take an expensive computer, hand-held PC or PDA into the field.

One megabyte of Flash Memory stores 190,000 sample sets, from up to 50 Leveloggers.

The Leveloader is powered by a 9V battery, which gives approximately 30 hours of ‘ON’ time use. To conserve battery power, the Leveloader has an automatic shut-off. In most circumstances it shuts off after 30 seconds of idle time, but when it is connected to a computer, it waits 90 seconds, to allow time for the computer program to launch.

Transferring Data

To collect data from field installed Leveloggers, a PC Interface Cable is used in the same manner as when data is uploaded directly to a computer. This cable is supplied with each Direct Read Cable Communications Package.

To transfer the data to the PC is easy. A Leveloader/PC Interface Cable, supplied with the Leveloader, and the Levelogger software are used, in exactly the same manner as when transferring data directly from the Levelogger itself. Both the data and the logger settings are downloaded, one file at a time, avoiding any possible identification problems.

Leveloader Displays

An LCD display and three control buttons allow viewing of the latest readings as well as guiding you simply through the process of downloading data from the Leveloggers and uploading it to a PC. The following Map shows the basic menus and each screen.

The Leveloader program offers the option to restart the attached Levelogger using the same settings as before. Restart erases all previously collected data.

Memory

The last screen in the ‘A’ menu option shows the amount of free memory still left in the Levelogger. This gives the user information needed to decide whether or not it is necessary to restart the Levelogger for the next monitoring period. As all data collected by the Levelogger is retained until it is restarted, retaining the data can be a useful backup, however, the Levelogger stops logging once its memory is full, so it is necessary to restart from time to time.

The percentage of memory left in the Leveloader itself is shown in the third screen of the ‘B’ menu. This memory indicator counts down by tens and will display ‘0%’ when less than 10% memory is still available and ‘Full’ when there is no available space. The memory in the Leveloader clears itself after each successful upload to a PC.

Value

The Leveloader is yet another Levelogger innovation from Solinst, designed to reduce field time and make the task of field data collection even easier.

All this convenience is now available and at a surprisingly affordable price. Please call for details.

Leveloader

The Leveloader is an inexpensive, hand-held, data transporter that downloads field data from Leveloggers, without a laptop. It holds up to 190,000 sets of readings from up to 50 Leveloggers.

Simply hook up the Leveloader to the direct read cable and download; move on to the next well and then back to the office for transfer to the computer. No need for an expensive computer, hand-held PC or PDA. (See Leveloader Data Sheet.)
