Electronic Control Unit
The requirement of all bladder and gas drive pumps to have time-adjusted drive and vent cycles is greatly simplified due to the tested preset modes used in the Electronic Control Unit. First time users can have their pump operating efficiently in minutes. Easy operation of timers and pressure allow more experienced users to fine tune samplings with minimal adjustment.
The Solinst Electronic Control Unit controls the supply of compressed gas to pneumatic pumps. The Control Unit uses 8 AA batteries, that can be easily replaced in the field, allowing continuous operation for up to 30 hours.
Simple, preset sample modes allow easy selection of the desired sample rate. The sampling rates may be selected to ensure a representative low-flow sample at 100 ml/min or less, or higher flow rates for purging may also be chosen.
Pumping drive/vent cycles are easily controlled manually.
The Control Unit comes with an In-Line Oil/Moisture Filter. The filter is a low cost, replaceable type rated at 5 scfm at 100 psi. The particulate filter media combined within the unit removes all oil and vapor, moisture and particulates down to .03 microns. The filter does not need to be kept vertical during operation. It has a 1/4” NPT male connector.
The Control Unit offers specially selected tubing designed for high pressure capabilities, abrasion-resistance, flexibility and includes an angled fitting for the wellhead connection, providing ease of operation. The Electronic Control Unit is available in 160 psi and 250 psi, suitable for use with new or existing pumps.
12 Volt Compressor
The Solinst 12 Volt Compressor is lightweight (21 lbs) and compact, ideal for field use. The compressor operates using any 12 volt DC power source, such as a car or truck vehicle battery, and comes with alligator clips. The compressor operates at 125 psi and is equipped with a 2 US gallon (7.6 litres) air tank which is rated to 150 psi.
Oil-Less Compressor
The Solinst gasoline powered air compressor Model #468 allows high or low pumping rates, 4.3 cfm continuous duty, and 125 psi (863 kPa) operation. The low maintenance, oil-less compressor does not introduce any hydrocarbons into the air stream and never requires lubrication. Filters are long lasting and easily replaceable. The rugged cart mounted units are well balanced and have space to mount the pump controller. Large pneumatic tires make it easy to transport over rough terrain. Skid mounted units are available which are designed for easy installation or transport in trucks, vans or ATV’s.
