Una volta posizionata contro la parete del foro, la procedura dei servizi FACT trascina per diffusione i contaminanti negli spazi dei pori e i flussi delle fratture. Poich\u00e9 il processo di diffusione avviene in un foro di trivellazione sigillato, le concentrazioni registrate durante i servizi FACT non sono influenzate dalla contaminazione incrociata e\/o dai problemi di perdita spesso associati alla caratterizzazione basata su packer.
