Monitoring Options for CMT Multilevel Systems
Water levels and samples can be accurately obtained using the following quality Solinst instruments:
Water Level Measurement:
The narrow, laser marked cable Model 102 Water Level Meter and 102M Mini Water Level Meter with a 4 mm (0.157″) diameter P4 Probe can be used to monitor water levels in any CMT channel. It is narrow enough to be used alongside a pump in the same channel.
Well Completion:
The durable cable is laser marked every 5 cm or 1/10 ft. Flat tape is marked every mm or 1/100 ft.
Sampling Methods:
Depending on the depth to water at your site, and your sampling protocol, Solinst offers various sampling options.
Ideal for sample retrieval from shallow water levels less than 9 m (30 ft).
Mini Inertial Pump 1/4″ (6 mm)
Sampling can be performed using the Solinst Peristaltic Pump, which has a suction lift limit of approximately 7.5 m (25 ft). The Mini Inertial Pump can be used with inexpensive polyethylene tubing to depths of 15 m (50 ft), or using PTFE tubing to depths of 45 m (150 ft).
The Micro Double Valve Pump (DVP) is ideal for low flow VOC sampling in narrow applications. The Micro DVP is made of flexible PFAS-free PTFE or polyethylene tubing which is 3/8″ (9.5 mm) in diameter. A manifold at the surface has a quick-connect fitting for attachment to the Solinst Electronic Control Unit and a bypass for easy sample collection. Operation is easy, as the Electronic Control Unit has built-in presets.
Multi-Purge Manifold
A multi-purge manifold is also available for the Micro DVP, for depths up to 73 m (240 ft).
Durable and easy to operate with the 408M by using built-in presets, or customised saved settings.
Vapour Samples:
Model 403 Vapour Monitoring & Wellhead Seal Assembly
Channel seal assemblies are available to seal the CMT channels in case of flowing artesian conditions, or vapour monitoring. If desired, a 3-way valve can be attached to the seal assembly directing vapour to a pressure gauge connected at one end of the valve and a sample vessel at the other.
