Pressure Regulator Replacement 125 PSI

Tools and Materials Needed

  1. 125 psi Pressure Regulator (Spare) (#112536)
  2. 3/32" Allen key
  3. Pliers
  4. Small vice (recommended)
  5. 1/2" wrench
  6. 9/16" wrench
  7. PTFE tape, or equivalent
  8. Pressure source (compressed gas cylinder)

Instructions

  1. Turn the Pump Control Unit off. Disconnect the pressure supply line.

  3. Remove the batteries.

  5. Use the 3/32" Allen key to undo the four hex screws on the sides of the Control Unit.

  7. Remove the panel from the Control Unit and flip it over to access the Pressure Regulator.
  8. Remove the clear tubing from the fittings on the Pressure Regulator. To remove the tubing, push down on the collar of the fitting and pull the tubing out.

  10. Flip the panel back over. Use pliers to loosen the panel mount collar and remove it from the Pressure Regulator knob.

  12. Pull the Pressure Regulator assembly out from the panel.

  14. It is recommended to use a small vice to hold the brass tee of the Pressure Regulator in place, while removing the other fittings.
  15. Using a wrench, remove the tubing elbow and the tubing T-fitting from the Pressure Regulator.
  16. Unscrew the Pressure Regulator from the brass tee.

    wrap ptfe tape around the threads on the brass tee tubing t fitting

     

  18. Wrap PTFE tape around the threads on the brass tee, tubing T-fitting, and tubing elbow.
  19. Thread the new Pressure Regulator onto the brass tee.
  20. Thread the tubing T-fitting into the opening on the new Pressure Regulator labelled "IN".
  21. Thread the tubing elbow into the other opening in the Pressure Regulator. Use the photo as reference for proper orientation.

  23. Place the new Pressure Regulator with connected fittings through the panel, and use the panel mount collar to secure it in place. Ensure proper orientation.
  24. Push the tubing firmly back into the correct fittings. Use the photo as reference for proper connections.

  26. Before installing the panel back into the Control Unit, test it to ensure proper connections have been made and to check for any leaks. Turn the Pressure Regulator all the way up while testing.
  27. Note:

    If any leaks are detected, ensure the fittings are properly connected and sealed with the PTFE tape. Or, you may need to cut a small amount of the tubing ends off to ensure a proper seal in the fittings.

  28. Once successfully tested, place the panel in the Control Unit and re-install the four hex screws. Re-install the batteries.
