2 RRL Overview

The Solinst RRL System offers a very simple and inexpensive method of local telemetry. The wireless system is designed to collect real-time data and send it via radio to your Home Station PC. The RRL is excellent for small, closed-loop networks such as mine sites and landfill monitoring networks.

RRL Stations work with omnidirectional antennas line-of-sight transmission, therefore, can communicate over distances up to 20 miles (30 km) with 900 MHz radios. Optional antennas and using some stations as repeaters can maximize distances.

Note:

To increase communication distances, you can bridge an RRL Remote Radio Link Network with an STS Edge Telemetry System (which uses cellular communication). See the STS Edge User Guide for more details.
